Ken Wills, veteran trainer of top class horses over a career spanning 6 decades, was honoured at Lords Raceway , Saturday October 25th.
Ken, at Barellan NSW and then from his home base at Star Hill Lodge on McIvor Rd, adjacent to Lords Raceway trained and drove standouts including: Star Hill, Last Scott, Miracle Echo, Pacing Scott, Lynmont, Perfect Hanover, Bret Armagh, Charles Armagh and Shelley Paua. He also trainer gallopers, having commenced his career in Melbourne when stable foreman at the age of 18. A display of Ken's memorabilia at BHRC was handed over by his grandchildren following the running of race 4 the Ken Wills Tribute 3yo Trot.
