Huge Crowd flocks to Lord's Raceway for the 60th Anniversary

Cars were parked all the way back to Rothacker Drive as a huge crowd flocked to Lord's Raceway to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the track opening in 1954. The Raceview Restaurant, Bistro, Trackside Cafe, Committee room, grandstand and open viewing areas were filled as the 10 race card was run in ideal conditions.
Anne Maree Conroy took out the first race, the DLO Plumbing 3yo Trot with Bee a Lassie,
Other highlights were:

• Graham Whittle's front of the field drive to win the Bendigo Smarthplumb Veteran Drivers Trot with Nandy Noot.
• The brilliant drive of Matt Craven to enable Znana to win the Ken Pocock Memorial Pace 
• Odds on favourite Glees Safari winning first up for localsPaul Tonkin (trainer) and Scott Dyer (driver),in the Phoenix Plumbing Pace.
• The impressive win in the Tonk's Brothers 3yo  by very promising 3yo Menin Gate for Shelbourne trainer Larry Eastman.
