Bendigo Harness Racing General Manager David Aldred has an international management background in horse racing with a recent overseas post in Vancouver, Canada where he was the Executive Director for Racing in Western Canada. David was based at Fraser Downs in Cloverdale, near Western Canada's horse capital Langley, Bristish Columbia. Canada's multi-award winning horse racing television show The Sport of King's interviewed David who represented the standardbred industry as its Chief Executive, Teletheatre (TAB) Board member, Wagering advisor and media commentator,  before he left Canada. On TV David recapped his time in the beautiful province of British Columbia. David has been a senior racing executive for 31 years, managing thoroughbred racetracks and industries as well as harness race tracks and industries in six Australian states and territories and overseas. Immediately prior to taking up his current General Manager's post, David was the CEO of the Harness Racing Industry for South Australia.
